Support is the final phase of the Implementation Maturity Methodology. Once the implementation is completed, the system is stable and the business is functioning, efforts move to the support phase.
Support Maturity is a measure of the organization’s ability to support its ERP environment in a way that addresses the continuing issues while building the maturity of the underlying ERP system and educating users along the way.
A mature support environment is one where root cause analysis is performed for every issue and solution implementation includes a technical or business implementation along with user education.
The resulting outcomes are:
- A support organization that can meet project timeline commitments while delivering revolutionary business changing features and functionality
- an ERP environment that becomes more stable over time
- an educated user and IT base
- a business that can attain its business goals and objectives through its ERP system By proactively managing support, the organization is able to better control the business and its associated risks.
